BIO

TaRhea Ray is a multi-talented artist from South Central Los Angeles, California. At a very young age she began exploring her creative abilities by writing poems, singing in the youth choir and hosting small plays for her family. Growing up in a musically inclined family, it was evident that she had also been bitten by the artistic bug.

In 2012, TaRhea enrolled at Los Angeles City College in Hollywood, California. Initially focusing on Music Technology, her path took an unexpected turn when she auditioned for the college choir. Recognizing her exceptional vocal talent, the professor suggested that she change her focus to voice, which turned out to be a life-changing decision for TaRhea.

During the fall of 2012, TaRhea's talent caught the attention of Tina Vonn, who quickly recruited her as a background singer. Since then, TaRhea has performed extensively throughout Los Angeles, gracing venues such as House of Blues and The Viper Room. Sharing the stage with other local artists like Harriet Brown, Vaud and The Villains, Barbara Laronga, and B00TY, TaRhea has solidified her presence in the music scene.

In January 2020, TaRhea released her debut solo single, "Goodbye," produced by Luca Brown of the duo Sleepy House. The track has received significant recognition and gained nearly 40,000 streams on Spotify. It serves as a testament to TaRhea's ability to captivate listeners with her soulful voice and emotive songwriting.

However, TaRhea's artistic endeavors are not limited to music alone. She possesses a profound love for acting and has been actively pursuing opportunities in the field. In 2018, she booked a role in the short film "Falling," and continued to make appearances in projects like "LiME" (2020), "Hello My Name Is" (2021), and "Record Store Flings" (2023). Additionally, TaRhea has graced the stage in various theatrical productions, showcasing her versatility and commitment to creating genuine and relatable characters.

In 2023, she is set to release her second single as part of the duo band Ray Rhemey and third single with the Swim Club Artist Collective.
